Brian Blum, president of FM Square, told the board the May 8 "Together We Shine" event attracted large crowds and showcased about 345 performers. He outlined upcoming Stafford Center programming: a Pakistani duo on May 29, Liverpool Legends on June 4, a Juneteenth City-sponsored event on June 19 (6p.m. to 11p.m.), and a two-day July 3-4 celebration with the Fort Bend Symphony on July 4.
Blum said the venues will feature family activities, free food while supplies last, and local-business showcases tied to ticketed dinners and other promotions. "This probably would be a good place to look for a home, to raise our kids," Blum said, describing the civic profile such events can raise. Board members praised staff and volunteers for the multicultural event and encouraged promotion ahead of upcoming dates.
