The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners approved the minutes from its July 21, 2026 meeting and the claims processed through July 24, 2026, at its July 28 regular meeting. Chair Christa Yoakum and Commissioners Chelsea Johnson, Sean Flowerday and Rick Vest voted to approve the minutes; Commissioner Matt Schulte was absent.
The board approved a claim to The Mediation Center for $8,800 after a motion by Commissioner Sean Flowerday and a second from Commissioner Chelsea Johnson; the vote was recorded as yes from Johnson, Flowerday and Yoakum with Commissioner Rick Vest abstaining. The board also approved a claim to El Centro de las Americas for $11,166.95 (motion by Flowerday, seconded by Johnson), with Johnson, Flowerday and Vest voting yes and Yoakum recorded as abstaining. The Clerk noted an amendment to the claims to include a recent payroll claim. A separate approval was recorded for a Weathercraft of Lincoln invoice dated July 27, 2026, for $1,188.42 that exceeded the 90-day period specified in Neb. Rev. Stat. §23-135.
