Brad Baker, a county staff member, told commissioners that coordination with the chief deputy and careful signage would be required. He said the county would need to procure a towing service and ensure signage names the contracted towing firm so vehicle owners know where to pick up tows. He also cautioned that regular use of Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) records could be problematic without clear procurement and record-sharing agreements.
The chair asked staff to provide a draft ordinance and an implementation timeline for the Thursday meeting; no formal ordinance vote occurred at this session.
