Commissioners move to ready county for NOAA Atlas 15 adoption and place item on consent agenda

Commissioner Smith told the board the county has not adopted the older Atlas 14 and that preparing for Atlas 15 gives the county an advantage. "We're looking at basically being able to adopt it as soon as it comes on," Smith said, adding that the county will wait on FDOT's gauge and move when appropriate.
Staff and commissioners said the change is primarily a housekeeping and readiness action—allowing the county to transition promptly once Atlas 15 is finalized. One commissioner made a motion to approve readiness and place the item on the consent agenda; staff will return with the formal adoption wording if needed.
