Clarksville’s council voted to approve an access easement with Kentuckiana Utilities Company to allow rehabilitation of a large overhead transmission-line tower at 1201 West Harrison. Town staff explained the company will erect a large crane and use the town-owned property at 1205 West Harrison for access; the agreement requires restoration to original condition when work is finished. “Kentuckiana Utilities Company has proposed an access easement agreement for consideration,” staff said during the item presentation.
Council moved, seconded and carried the roll-call vote recorded in the transcript, approving the easement 7–0. Staff noted the work is scheduled to last less than 180 days and emphasized the restoration requirement in the agreement; implementation will be coordinated through the town manager’s office and the relevant public works or property division.
