A county staff member updated the court on ongoing courthouse construction and finishing work, describing the agenda item as one of the last pay applications for the project. "We'll be, moving, Mathis and Dodson, onto the 3rd Floor in about 2 weeks," the staff member said, and added that the project is down to about five punch‑list items with a second round of furniture arriving next week.
The staff member acknowledged construction‑related curb and drainage repairs that caused temporary ponding at corners and said crews had surveyed multiple options and chosen reshaping curbs and slopes to improve drainage. He said those repairs should be finished by next Monday and apologized for any inconvenience during the work.
