Resident Mary Travis, whose home faces Jobson Park, urged council to add perimeter fencing and tall evergreen plantings and to relocate pavilions that would sit in front of houses. "We currently only have 1 baseball field... many people parking right directly on Taverner. ... We would really appreciate that [wrought‑iron fencing] since we live there," she told council.
After public comment and staff responses about entrances, berms and change‑order options, the council moved to approve Option 1 and funding direction; the motion passed 7–0. Staff said the council will return with contract award details and that fencing options and safety considerations can be handled as change orders during construction.
