Multiple department directors presented personnel and equipment requests during the budget workshop. Town Secretary Rachel Ramsey requested a records management specialist to handle rising public information requests, records retention and digitization; the library director asked for a clerk page to ensure two‑person coverage for safety and programming as circulation has nearly tripled this year.
Parks staff requested an additional maintenance technician, a facility maintenance technician, and a 12‑foot deck mower to increase efficiency across roughly 458 acres of parks and more than ten miles of right‑of‑way. Public works requested an additional maintenance worker and a water‑quality specialist to meet expanding sampling, monitoring and regulatory requirements; public works also proposed a sonar‑based manhole inspection program to grade sewer infrastructure and inform CIP planning. Directors said the requests are driven by growth in residents and services and are intended to improve continuity, compliance and service delivery.
