Kruger Lake Campground funding and environmental work advance; Phase I RFP due to meet READI drawdown deadline

Brian Amick, Project Manager, told the commissioners that the Kruger Lake Campground project's RDA funding resolution has been approved and a subrecipient agreement is ready for signature to move the project forward. Amick said the RFP for a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment on the campground property has been finalized and will be issued immediately to meet the August 21 deadline for the first READI funding drawdown.
Amick also said there has been no update on the Animal Shelter READI application and reported a variance application for shelter property setbacks has been submitted for the City BZA review on August 10 with the county's architect representing the county. He said the master park plan consultant delivered an initial draft and is preparing a community input survey with QR-code signage to be placed around Kruger Lake; an ADA accessibility review found no issues. Amick also reported the revolving loan fund has been closed following a State Board of Accounts audit and that records must be maintained for three more years. The county continues steady progress on digitizing records and handling public records requests.
