Cox said the work is tied to TxDOT-mandated relocations for the Highway 80 reconstruction and that crews will plan for nighttime operations and lane closures for safety and traffic control. Council asked funding questions and Cox said the cost will come from the town's water and sewer fund. Council approved the change order 5–0 and staff said materials can be ordered immediately with work anticipated to begin after delivery (roughly two weeks for procurement, with tie‑in work performed during planned nighttime closures).
