When the meeting reconvened, Mister Meskeland described an instance where Vasquez staff called a family whose child had missed school and offered two-day independent study, which he said led to recovered attendance and turned-in assignments.
"My son recently was out of school for 2 days, and he got a call from Vasquez asking if he wanted to go on independent studies for 2 days... attendance recovered, assignments turned in," Mister Meskeland said. The committee member added thanks to Dr. Chamberlain and site office staff for checking in on challenges with independent study volume and supporting attendance-recovery initiatives.
