City manager candidate packet distributed; water department to conduct hydrant flow testing

Water Superintendent Jim Jenkins announced that hydrant flow testing will take place tomorrow on University Boulevard as part of work for a private development; testing will be done by a private contractor with city water staff present. City Manager Jim Mavromatis also said he will inspect work at a North Fifth Avenue project with the contractor and inspector to determine what can be certified for occupancy and will brief Council at the next meeting. Mavromatis added the city entered a maintenance contract for the city building to provide regular upkeep of recently installed equipment.
