Council members discussed whether to stage sidewalk work with the street resurfacing and the tradeoffs of adding pedestrian improvements when the roadway is reconstructed. Dolak said Wellesley has reached its useful life and will be resurfaced next year, and that some right-of-way or retaining-wall work may be required to accommodate sidewalks. No formal funding decision or contract award was made at this meeting.
