Chamblee staff proposes flat $35.9M general fund, projects millage at 6.25

City budget staff presented the proposed general fund and said the plan is to hold the general fund flat at $35,900,000 while adopting a projected millage of 6.25 next year.
"The result of that is a flat general fund budget at $35,900,000," said Daria Kryskis, the city’s budget and strategy manager. She told the council the proposal reflects slower revenue growth following several years of faster increases and that departments were asked to identify reductions to reach a balanced budget.
Kryskis said the millage projection is part of a package the city will formally adopt in June 2026; public comment and further council review will continue at the remaining scheduled hearings.
