The board approved a five-year wireless infrastructure agreement to upgrade district Wi‑Fi and awarded the low bid to Pinnacle Network as presented.
“This would be a 5 year agreement where the federal government plays 85%. So we're only billed for 15%,” Mr. Willis said while recommending approval of the low bid. The recommendation passed by motion and voice vote.
The board did not discuss specific dollar amounts at the meeting; Mr. Willis described the upgrade as necessary to maintain modern connectivity for schools and noted federal support under the funding arrangement.
