He told council he was not opposed to LSVs in principle but said the proliferation of rental operators has led to more parking and moving violations and substantial enforcement and appeal workload for town staff.
Davis suggested the safety & security committee consider capacity limits or reducing provider numbers to improve oversight and consistency of safety features. Council members acknowledged the issue: one council member noted the short‑term rental committee previously recommended regulation of rental LSVs and said staff would coordinate with Sapoa security before pursuing further action.
