Council swears in three appointees to local boards

Councilmember Garza noted Stone’s background as a Lansing resident and a forensic scientist with Michigan State Police and his community involvement in local arts. "Mr. Stone shared his passion for expanding Lansing's art and cultural opportunities," Garza said as the Committee forwarded the nomination.
Tyson Pumphrey (also referenced in committee materials as Jose Moore) was appointed as the business representative to the Downtown Lansing Inc. Board through June 30, 2029. Garza noted Pumphrey’s work with All of the Above Hip Hop Academy and his stated focus on downtown revitalization through arts and youth programming.
Colleen Cole, a fourth‑ward resident with senior leadership experience at MSU FCU, was appointed to the Lansing Public Media Authority Board of Commissioners for a term ending June 30, 2029. The Committee on City Operations voted unanimously to forward Cole’s nomination to the full council, which approved the appointment and administered the oath.
