Alyssa Mitchell Pelzer was named assistant principal of the year; Lakekia Lewis (Bethune Bowman) was named principal of the year, and Jermaine Fields was named teacher of the year. Winners receive commemorative plaques and all-expenses-paid professional development opportunities.
Representatives from Orangeburg Nissan and Johnson Automotive Group congratulated winners and offered vehicles for teachers selected in the program. District leaders thanked corporate and community partners and directed winners to a staged presentation area to select awards and participate in photos.
