Inspector Jennifer reported finding grape, pineapple and menthol flavors in a black shopping bag hidden in a box; the regulation cited was 105 CMR 665 and a mandated cease‑and‑desist fine of $2,000 was recorded, due August 10.
Owner Tanvir told the board he recently acquired the store and said the flavored vapes were likely leftover inventory from the previous owner. "I'm pretty sure it's from the previous owner," Tanvir said, asking for leniency and explaining this was his first time using Zoom. Inspector Jennifer said the complaint reporter observed customers leaving with flavored vapes and hiding products in containers; Jennifer said she found the bag during a search of storage areas.
Board member Michael Coughlin said he found the inspector's report credible and moved to impose the mandatory fine and consider a seven‑day suspension; Chair Thomas Corey seconded. The board voted to suspend the license for seven days, directed Jennifer to coordinate suspension logistics, and encouraged the owner to remove prohibited inventory and retrain staff.
