Solar Energy Subcommittee looks to dissolve after completing primary objectives; oversight of school project to be decided

Committee members discussed concluding the Solar Energy Subcommittee now that its primary objectives have been completed and agreed the next Alternative Energy Committee meeting agenda should include approval of outstanding meeting minutes and a vote to formally dissolve the Solar Energy Subcommittee. Tanya Bodell, Chair of the Alternative Energy Subcommittee, led the procedural discussion about next steps and how oversight of the school solar project should be handled.
The committee also agreed to discuss whether future oversight of the Deerhill and Osgood school solar project should remain with the full Alternative Energy Committee or be assigned to a newly formed subcommittee. No formal vote to dissolve the subcommittee occurred at this meeting. The session ended with a motion to adjourn made by Tom Daley, seconded by Chris Oddleifson, which passed 4-0 (TB, DH, CO, & TD).
