Joan Taverna, RN, submitted a series of weekly public-health reports to the Board documenting clinical visits, home visits, rental-property inspections, food-establishment inspections, outbreak investigations and program administration between January and early May 2026. The minutes record investigations of Babesiosis, Anaplasmosis, Salmonella and a Dengue case; re-enrollment and submission to the MA DPH Vaccine Program; monthly naloxone-program reporting; and coordination after storm events.
The reports also describe community programming: the 15th annual Health & Recreation Fair took place on March 22 with multiple vendor screenings and services. Taverna wrote that the fair "was well attended and a fun day." The reports list follow-ups on inspections (Avitar/previously Evoke, Soothing Reflexology Body & Foot Spa, Deluxe Nails, PizzaCoh, Seabird Coffee), reinspection schedules, and plans for CPR training and flu-vaccine reservations for 2026' 2027.
