Water department plans $1.2M borrowing for Route 3A water-main replacement

Chris Pratt, chair of the Water Commission, reviewed the commission’s long-term capital-investment plan and reported that the Water Department expects to begin a planned $1.2 million borrowing for the Route 3A water-main replacement, coordinated with an ongoing water-improvement project. Pratt said there were no Water Department items planned for the upcoming Town Meeting warrant.
The Water Commission chair added that the department might also begin previously authorized borrowing for the South Main Street water main at the start of Fiscal Year 2027. Committee members recorded the plan for the committee’s capital calendar and funding projections.
