Cohasset Board approves local upgrade and I/A GeoMat plan for 16 Stanton Road
Summary
The Board granted a local upgrade and approved an I/A GeoMat septic plan allowing a proposed 38.9% leaching-field reduction and a reduction in required separation between tees from 12" to 1" for 16 Stanton Road; votes were unanimous.
Morse Engineering presented an I/A GeoMat septic design for a five-bedroom home at 16 Stanton Road. The Board approved the design and granted a local upgrade under 310 CMR to reduce required separation between inlet and outlet tees and high groundwater from 12 inches to 1 inch. The minutes state MassDEP I/A credits are being applied (proposed field reduction 38.9%). Motions to approve the local upgrade and the final plans were moved by Mary Goodwin, seconded by Marcia Lewis, and passed 3-0.
The approvals were recorded against the plan dated March 23, 2026 (revised April 21, 2026). The Board set no further conditions in the minutes.
