The Cohasset Board of Public Health voted 3-0 on April 21 to designate Nicole Balaschi as the Town of Cohasset's Public Health Agent. The motion was moved by Mary Goodwin and seconded by Marcia Lewis; roll call was Goodwin-Aye, Lewis-Aye and Dr. Paul Schubert-Aye.
According to the meeting minutes, Ms. Balaschi has worked for Cohasset Safe Harbor for more than eight years as its director. Board members discussed seasonal priorities tied to the new appointment, including increased food-establishment and housing inspections, tick-season preparations and beach water testing after Memorial Day. The Board set a follow-up on staffing and operational details for the next meeting on May 19.
