Summary

Administrators presented a limited update to the district's ESTA (earned sick time act) policy and the board approved the revision by voice vote.
The superintendent said the change is small and primarily affects employees who are not covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (CBA); for many staff the district already front-loads sick days, which reduces the policy's operational impact. "This this is really a pretty small revision," the superintendent said, and added that staff have started tracking which employees will be affected.
The motion to adopt the administrative recommendation passed by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript. Staff will continue to monitor implementation for employees on individual contracts.
