Board grants side-yard variance for new house at 316 Kenilworth

The Bay Village Board of Zoning Appeals on Jan. 15 granted a variance allowing a 2'5" encroachment on side-yard setbacks for a new house at 316 Kenilworth. The applicants, Alexa Marconi and Nicholas Gallo, revised an earlier request and said they adjusted the design so that neither side would be less than 9 feet.
Chair Clete Miller noted the revised request represented nearly a 50% reduction from the original ask. Board member Tricia Rhea said she "appreciates all the changes that were made to the drawings to accommodate their requests and it still looks like an amazing house." The motion to grant the variance (mover: Carolyn Young; second: Jan Saurman) passed unanimously, 5-0. The board approved the variance "according to the drawings as prepared and submitted," per the motion.
