At the start of the July 20 meeting, planning staff told the Board of Adjustment members they would receive printed copies of the updated Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) for reference. "Ashley Segura, our new permit technician, will be handing over to you," Saroopa, a planning staff member, said while announcing the distribution of the new UDO copy.
Staff also said the town secretary is scheduling a required orientation for town council members and board and commission members on Aug. 31; Town Attorney Allison and department directors will attend, and staff are exploring livestream or playback options for those who cannot attend in person. Allison said the orientation will cover many items relevant to the board and encouraged members to attend to avoid later catch‑up training.
Board members were asked to place the orientation on their calendars; staff said the town secretary will follow up by email with logistics and timing. The distribution of the printed UDO and the scheduled orientation were presented as administrative steps to support consistent application of updated code provisions.
