Board hears True North roof storm‑damage update; repairs underway

Superintendent briefed the board that one True North building experienced storm damage in early July because a vapor barrier had not been installed during roof work. He said contractors responded and remediated the damage and that the architect is assembling plans and bids to address the remainder of the roof.
"They worked with the contractor to get that corrected, and, of course, they've remediated the storm damage," the superintendent said, adding that the portion of the roof still outstanding is the largest need and will be addressed through the capital outlay process. He said communication with True North has been good and that the program appears ready to start in August.
The board will receive more detail after the next True North meeting and as capital outlay bids are developed.
