Petersburg City Council approved the consent agenda at its May 5 work session. Items on the consent list included the minutes of prior meetings and several first readings with instructions to schedule public hearings: a voluntary boundary-line adjustment with Prince George County, a Petersburg City Public Schools fiscal year 2026 budget amendment, and first readings and scheduling for the City of Petersburg and Petersburg Public Schools FY27 budgets.
Vice Mayor Hill moved approval of the consent agenda and Councilman Smith Lee seconded; the clerk called the roll and council members recorded unanimous "Aye" votes. No discussion or amendments were recorded on the consent items during the roll call.
The scheduled public hearings will allow public comment on the boundary adjustment and the proposed FY27 budgets; specific hearing dates and supporting materials will be posted as required prior to the hearings.
