Council seeks clearer 'universal design' language in Playbook OP and options to exceed ADA standards

The committee discussed asking staff to prepare an appendix or options that would define Overland Park's approach to universal design and identify which regional parks or attractions it should apply to.
Staff and council also suggested inviting community partners (for example, local advocacy organizations) to the follow‑up discussion to help draft language. The committee directed staff to prepare amendment options and page references so the governing body can consider specific inclusive design language as part of the Playbook OP update.
