Sarpy County commissioners approved the final plat for the Bridal (Riva) at Chalco subdivision on July 28, allowing creation of four lots on about 20.74 acres southwest of 156th and Giles. Planning staff said the planned development includes up to 299 multifamily residential units in 19 structures, ranging from triplexes to 45‑unit apartment buildings.
Staff noted an updated traffic study and that the developer will contribute to installation of a traffic signal at the 100/59th & Giles Road intersection. Commissioners asked whether larger traffic and road‑capacity studies were available; staff said a broader Giles Road corridor study is funded in the county budget and will examine future capacity and improvements.
The board moved to approve the final plat and associated subdivision agreement; the transcript records that motions passed. The rezoning that enabled the project (to RD 50 / medium‑high density) was previously approved and becomes effective upon recording of the plat.
