The chair (S1) announced plans to form a seven-member committee to recommend a countywide joint dispatch structure, saying the committee would include local emergency and dispatch stakeholders and be charged to produce recommendations in roughly 4.5 months. He named potential appointees including Troy Yates, Tim Hansel, Andy Patrick, Rich Wilson, Adam Webb, Terry Rogers and Carl Farnham and said the chair would appoint the panel at the next meeting.
Board members discussed whether additional subject-matter resources should be included; one member suggested Jesse (S5) be used as a resource because of prior work on the 9-1-1 framework. The chair said the committee would include resource people (Taylor Ray, Jeff Wood, Jenkins and the state's attorney) and that all meetings must be posted and open to public participation.
