Crowley ISD to host Black History Quiz Bowl Feb. 21 with 70 teams

District staff previewed the Black History Quiz Bowl slated for Saturday, Feb. 21, at North Crowley High School. The event will feature two divisions (elementary and secondary), an art contest, door-decorating competition, and winners to be announced at the end of February.
"This year we have 70 teams," Dr. Polk said, noting 42 elementary teams and 28 secondary teams and asking board members and the community to attend and vote on winners. Organizers will serve breakfast for students at 8:00 a.m. and begin the opening ceremony at 9:00 a.m.
The program includes staff- and community-led competitions and will return winners to the board in the final week of February. Staff asked trustees to help promote attendance and support for the event.
