"That's what we're seeking here tonight is approval to move forward with that proposal from Stantec to begin that design work and work with staff," the city manager said, noting the council had been favorable during the work session. The council approved the motion to proceed and also approved transferring funds from the Norrell reserve to help pay for future construction work; the vote included a condition that staff and the city attorney review and approve an acceptable contract before final execution.
Councilmembers asked that approval of services be subject to review and approval of an acceptable contract by city staff and the city attorney; that requirement was included before the motion was seconded and approved. Staff will return with the executed contract and scope once attorney and staff review are complete.
