Superintendent (speaker 2) gave a construction update on the Early Learners Building, saying the district has inspections and licensing scheduled around August 20 and that most complex work has been completed. He reported that new elementary doors purchased with ESSER funds are being installed and that egress windows and ladder equipment were added at the high school for safety.
"The easiest thing is what's slowing us down the most, which is painting," Superintendent (speaker 2) said, noting that the site team is addressing finishing items and moving furniture back into some rooms. Administrators said they remain confident they will meet licensing requirements and that they are coordinating final placement of safety equipment and building access items.
Staff asked board members to anticipate opening‑of‑school activities and said some rooms are already being readied for students.
