District staff presented the social-emotional learning (SEL) guardrail report and said the district used the current year as a baseline. "So we did have did not have a goal for this 1st year, just in implementation," the presenter explained, and said for the next year the district will report teacher-level SEL data rather than campus-level summaries.
Officials described district supports including a partnership with the Lenny Learning platform for reporting, pilot SEL rooms at campuses, and a planned mental-health training for all staff on May 27. Trustees praised the rollout and asked clarifying questions about daily versus weekly SEL implementation for elementary campuses; staff said campuses may use daily 15-minute sessions or one weekly 30-minute block to meet the 30-minute weekly mandate.
