Architect Joe Fisher said the project will replace paving with permeable pavers for some areas, reconfigure vehicle display pads and add planters and new landscaping; the team will conduct an official tree survey and, if canopy calculations fall short, donate to the city’s tree fund.
Fisher said the project follows PUD design aspirations and will remove a nonconforming tent and replace an existing wood fence with a metal fence and stone piers; he told the council, "We're tearing out the existing paving around the customer parking, putting in new permeable pavers..." Council members requested an updated fence elevation be included in the packet and discussed sidewalk conditions and bike/scooter safety near Broad Street.
