He estimated design would take about 12–18 months followed by 12–18 months of construction. The department reported it currently has 39 firefighters and expects to hire roughly six more to staff both stations. Officials also discussed equipment needs, including procuring an additional engine and remounting an ambulance box onto a new chassis.
