Law Director John Gasior described Resolution R‑3‑26, which authorizes consideration of a new Agricultural District application from landowners Donald and Angeline Burge for roughly 20 acres at 37180 Chester Road (PPNs 04‑00‑009‑000‑024 and 04‑00‑009‑000‑025). Gasior explained the designation reduces property taxes provided the owners maintain agricultural use for five years and noted the County cannot grant the district without City Council’s approval.
A public hearing on the resolution is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, at 7:25 p.m., when residents and interested parties may offer comment before Council takes action.
