Finance Director Steve Presley presented Ordinance No. 6‑26 proposing several appropriation changes for 2026. Presley said the General Fund would receive $150,000 for building improvements at the new City Hall and $250,000 for furniture and fixtures; $250,000 would be transferred to the Fire Station #2 Improvement Fund to support the Perspectus contract. In the Recreation Income Tax fund, Presley described an appropriation of $600,000 (increased from $500,000) for Little League Park improvements, listing $494,000 for lighting two fields and approximately $100,000 for batting cages through cooperative purchasing.
Council asked clarifying questions about the $250,000 transfer for Fire Station #2, which Presley confirmed would support the Perspectus architectural services. Presley also noted a $43,145 appropriation in the Water Revenue Fund for final interest payable to Avon Lake; he indicated this is the final year of such payments.
