Girls Inc. and Vantage Point report growth, 370 students served across six Crowley ISD campuses

Representatives from Girls Inc. of Tarrant County and the recently launched Vantage Point boys program updated the board on a decade-long partnership with Crowley ISD. "Currently, they're serving 370 students across 6 campuses here in Crowley ISD," the presenter said, describing mentoring, character development and STEM opportunities.
Presenters described pre/post survey results showing gains in resilience, conflict-resolution, and motivation to learn for participating students. Trustees asked about student selection and community involvement; presenters said school administrators and counselors refer students, students can self-refer, and there is no cost to participate. The organization emphasized internships, career exposure, and events including Fuel Her Fire and the College Shower to support first-generation college-bound students.
