Crowley ISD trustees unanimously elect Nedra Robinson president, reorganize officer roles

The Crowley Independent School District Board of Trustees reorganized its leadership at the close of its regular meeting, electing Dr. Nedra Robinson as board president. The board voted unanimously in favor of the slate; Attorney David Campbell announced, “All 5 board members present vote in favor.”
The board also selected Kalisha Stevenson as vice president, C.C. Watkins as second vice president and Dr. Latonya Woodson Mayfield as secretary. Nominations were offered from the dais and motions were seconded before the board voted by show of hands. Attorney David Campbell presided over the election and referenced Education Code 11.061, which requires the board to select officers during the first meeting after each election and qualification of trustees.
The reorganization followed routine business, ceremonial oaths and multiple presentations. Board members thanked outgoing Place 3 appointee Michael Lasik for his service earlier in the agenda and continued with approved personnel and consent items before the officer elections.
