During the public utilities report, Council member Mayo announced ordinances to move forward on water infrastructure work. He said the City Manager would be authorized to enter into engineering services with Verdantas Engineering for field observation and repair design of the Wastewater Treatment Plant administrative building. Mayo also announced the city would advertise for bids for the Belleview Tank Rehabilitation Project and designate a dedicated repayment source to fund the work.
Council member Gorman seconded the announcements; no final contracts or bid awards were approved at the Oct. 21 meeting. The action sun shined the ordinances so they can proceed through the bidding and contracting process, including advertising, possible re-bidding, and entering contracts with the lowest qualified bidder once procurement steps are complete.
