New Waterford Oaks principal introduced; Plummer Elementary reports academic gains

The meeting also featured a Plummer Elementary campus spotlight. Presenters said Plummer serves about 359 students and highlighted a special education percentage near 13% and increased attendance from 92% last year toward 93–94% this year. The campus reported reductions in discipline referrals (described as being less than 0.5 of last year’s referrals at the same point) and noted early‑grade reading growth, with math proficiency identified as an ongoing area for improvement. Campus strategy includes tiered instruction, targeted interventions, family engagement events and partnerships such as the Operation Honor Project and Holdsworth leadership programming.
Trustees thanked assistant principals and staff during recognitions. The board accepted the campus report for informational purposes and moved on to district instructional items.
