Councilwoman Greenfield summarized the Jan. 12 finance committee discussion of Ordinance 2601 authorizing a managed IT-services contract with Simbay LLC. She said consultant Henry Chatsky told the committee the Simbay contracts "would cost $159,000 for the year of service," which would cover enterprise technology services, enterprise managed network services and security management.
Ordinance 2601 was placed on second reading and returned to the finance committee. Council members asked clarifying questions in committee about hours of on-site service, emergency response time and the additional costs for services outside regular hours; the committee voted 6–0 on its recommendation to move the ordinance forward to subsequent readings.
