Mayor Bill Schneider reported that the city has been approved for a 0% OPWC (Ohio Public Works Commission) loan to pay for sewer replacement on Belvedere Avenue. "That loan will be used to, redo the sewers on Belvedere. That's at $1,900,000 loan," the mayor said during his report.
Schneider said the city continues planning work with American StructurePoint on Lorraine Road alternatives and noted ODOT sound-wall work along I-480 near Sycamore and the community garden is expected in 2026. He also described construction defects in the Gemini Center men's showers that will require rebuilding (moisture-control and tile replacement), saying the repairs will "eat into our budget allotment" but are necessary. The mayor flagged lifeguard pay and training incentives and previewed a community guide project with the Sherman Park Chamber.
