Board approves $18,955.98 purchase of tire equipment for motor maintenance

The Board of Control voted to approve a purchase order of $18,955.98 to O'Reilly for equipment to be used by the motor maintenance division. The requisition was presented by a director who moved the item and seconded by Director Knegt; the motion passed by voice vote.
Director Knegt said the purchase would supply shops with new tire-service equipment. "This is for a wheel balancer, tire changer, and the cone kit, for use in motor maintenance for repairing tires citywide," Director Knegt said. The purchase will be charged to the general fund.
