Council approves minutes, excuses member and closes meeting after routine reports
Summary
Council approved meeting minutes, excused a member (5–1 vote), heard committee and member reports including a promotion effective April 3, 2026, and adjourned. A planning commission meeting is scheduled for March 10, 2026.
At the start of the session Mayor Ryan Grubbs and council completed routine business: the February 17, 2026 minutes were approved (motion by Mr. Tanner Dole, seconded by Mr. Tony Egner; roll call all yea) and council voted 5–1 to excuse Ryan Samuels (Mrs. Wilson’s motion, seconded by Mr. Egner; Mr. Edward Whitt voted Nay).
During member reports, Mr. William Neyer announced that Mark Kaufman has been promoted to water department director effective April 3, 2026, the city hired two wastewater technicians, and two street-department employees (Dave Perkins and Cam Rolfes) obtained industrial vegetation licenses. Mr. Ryan Samuels noted Empath is progressing on the new website and reminded the public of the Planning Commission meeting on March 10, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned on a unanimous roll-call vote.
