Scott (speaker 4) presented the Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) annual report for information. He described the SHAC’s membership (parents, community members, teachers and staff), the committee’s review and minor updates to the Frenship ISD wellness policy, the presentation of student nursing and health-service metrics, and Aramark’s report on nutrition changes resulting from recent legislative actions.
Scott said the committee reviewed the district comprehensive needs-assessment and district improvement plan and recommended continuing measurable objectives for the coming year. He emphasized that student handbook changes are informational only and are not adopted by the board at this meeting: "In accordance with board policy FN local, the student handbook is subject to review, but shall not be adopted by the board."
