House calendar adds a broad package of bills on public safety, health, education and licensing

At the start of the floor session, the clerk placed a broad set of committee-sponsored bills on the calendar for future consideration. The list included, among others: House File 2630 (public safety — peace officer salaries), HF 2631 (family and medical leave insurance), HF 2632 (school district bond election requirements), HF 2633 (living organ donor and related insurance issues), HF 2634 (pre-need seller rules and government cemeteries), HF 2635 (health care claims, audits and prior authorization rules), and HF 2636 (property owner protest rights on proposed zoning changes).
Additional committee bills announced for calendar placement addressed environmental air contaminant prohibitions (HF 2640), Medicaid home- and community-based waiver services (HF 2641), beneficial use and disposal of distillery liquid waste (HF 2642), fuel reporting for retail dealers (HF 2643), use of electronic monitoring for certain offenders (HF 2644), an electronic court notification system (HF 2645), penalties for certain foreign entity activities (HF 2646), and several items on alcoholic beverage licensing and a community college baccalaureate pilot program (HF 2647–2649). The clerk indicated those committee recommendations had been placed on the calendar for future floor action.
